Jan M. Alexander combines fantasy, paranormal, romance and literary genres into her writing brew. Most of her stories can be enjoyed by both adults and older young adults. During non-writing hours you might find her watercolor painting, feeding unsalted peanuts to crows or exploring different hot cocoa recipes. Jan’s influences come from all types of books: from poetry and bestsellers to obscure sellers and children's books. Her short stories have appeared in Peregrine, Primavera, Vine Leaves Literary Journal, Grasslimb (under another name), and forthcoming in The Avalon Literary Review.

 

She was born and raised in New York and shares her life with her wisecracking husband, Paul, who is an award-winning landscape painter.

 

Currently, Jan is hard at work on more short stories and her second novel.
